This training
will focus on latent Tuberculosis infection (LTBI) and building partnerships
to engage communities, increase case detection, and facilitate treatment of
Tuberculosis. The morning portion will cover risk assessment, screening, and
treatment for LTBI, including new diagnostic tests. The afternoon will feature
an interactive exercise focusing on building community partnerships.

As Tuberculosis rates decline in the United States, the diagnosis and
treatment of LTBI have gained importance in order to prevent future cases of
active disease. An integral part of reducing Tuberculosis infection involves
partnering with communities to provide education, conduct risk assessments,
and facilitate access to treatment.

Westbound from Westborough Rte. 495: Proceed West past Route 140 in Shrewsbury, continue to
the second stop light. This is Oak
Street; there will be a bowling alley on the
right. Turn Right on Oak Street,
and proceed until you reach a stop sign. This is Maple Avenue. The entrance to the
conference center is directly across the street. The Hoagland-Pincus Conference
Center is the first
building on the right.

Westbound
from Boston: Take exit 11A to Route 495 North to Route 9 West.

Take Exit 10 to Route 290 East.
